Remove

Gently start at the top of the flower with extreme caution, hold your breast and slowly peel the patch down to remove.

The first few times removing will be very sensitive because of the adhesive silicone, which is normal. It will become easier after the silicone softens.

You may want to take it off in the shower. Dry the patch silicone face up.

Not recommended for sleeping only because it causes wrinkles as we move in our sleep. Making the patch to look more worn and not as smooth fitting.

Medical Grade Benefits of Sunset Bloom

Silicone is The #1 dermatologist and plastic surgeon recommended for scar therapy.

Researchers believe that silicone works by hydrating and protecting the scar. This prevents skin dehydration which can contribute to abnormal scar formation.

The International Advisory Panel On Scar Management recommends using silicone for a minimum of 2 months.

Silicone helps to regulate collagen protection at the scar site. When a person sustains a wound epidermal keratinocyte and fibroblast cells synthesize massive amounts of collagen, a common structural protein, to rebuild the damage skin. If left unchecked, collagen buildup can lead to irregular scarring in the form of keloids and hypertrophic scar formations.

By applying medical grade silicone sheeting (patches) to the scar bed, fibroblast activity is scaled back and collagen production is normalized. This has the effect of flattening and smoothing scars, helping them to blend in with the surrounding tissue.

Surgeons and dermatologists around the world trust the science behind medical silicone for scar therapy because it's backed by over 30 years of clinical trials. Silicone sheeting, as a topical solution to scar management, is often the first line of defense for many post-operative patients because its safe, effective and affordable.
